Goals Of The Partnership

Our Goals are…

Develop and maintain a shared vision for a healthy community that recognizes that people's health and well being are dependent upon much more than an accessible, cost-effective and quality health and medical system. Multiple community systems and factors contribute to a "healthy community". These include: quality education systems; lifelong learning and skill building opportunities; safe and adequate housing; safe and clean neighborhoods; green environments; recreation and culture; public safety; youth mentoring; community service; a healthy workplace; jobs that pay a living wage; family; a healthy start; health promotion and preventive services; a vibrant faith community; effective media; good government; and effective transportation options.

Inspire and mobilize community stakeholders to step beyond traditional geographical and governmental boundaries

Communicate and educate the vision, mission and goals of healthy communities to diverse community systems

Serve as a catalyst to forge new relationships and strategies where collaboration achieves a greater result than independent action

Serve as a linkage of the many initiatives geared towards promoting a healthy community and maximizing the use of resources.

Establish annual health improvement goals and initiatives and relate them to public health agendas whose goals and initiatives result in improving the quality of life of our community and residents

Develop and foster community indicators and systems to measure progress and impact and report results back to the community on a regular basis

Work on increasing Partnership diversity and development by expanding the network of community participation and commitment to the Vision, Mission and Goals of the Partnership
