Indy in Motion
Engaging in regular physical activity on most days of the week reduces the risk
of developing or dying from some of the leading causes of illness and death in Indianapolis.
Most adults and many children in our community do not get enough daily physical activity to enjoy the
many benefits to physical and mental health that regular physical activity can provide.
The
Marion County Health Department,
Indy Parks,
the National Institute for Fitness and Sport and a variety of community partners have teamed up
to offer a free total fitness and health program, INDY IN MOTION. Activities are
located at several Indy Parks, schools and community centers and include walking, strength training, aerobics, chair exercise, information sessions on
health and nutrition, health screenings and awards for regular participation in physical activities.
Register at any of the participating
Indy in Motion sites during the scheduled activities. For more information, click
here or call 221-3122 for any additional questions.
Please join us and make regular physical activity a part of your healthier life!
